Description: To commemorate World Hearing Day 2023, the Institute of Speech and Audiology of Sweekaar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences launched a complimentary hearing screening initiative. The two-day event started on March 3, 2023, and was held in the Wargal Village of the Siddipet District, in Telangana, India. This comprehensive effort involved professionals and trainees from various departments, totaling 15 professionals and 60 trainees. They screened 684 people of all ages for hearing-related issues, identifying 54 individuals with hearing loss. To increase awareness, an informative session was conducted post-screening for teachers and students outlining the initiative’s activities. Additionally, pamphlets detailing hearing care and various ear and hearing disorders were handed out to educators.
