Title: Wiki4WorldHearingDay2023
Description: The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, in partnership with the World Health Organization’s Office of Ear and Hearing Care, launched the Wiki4WorldHearingDay2023 online event. This campaign, accessible in seven languages, aimed to enhance Wikipedia content concerning hearing health, prevention, and treatment. From November 17, 2022, to March 31, 2023, participants worldwide, regardless of their computer and internet proficiency, were encouraged to join and were offered additional training upon request. The campaign resulted in significant contributions, including the editing of 288 articles, creation of 50 new ones, uploading of 140 media files to WikiCommons, and addition of over 248 references. These efforts reached an impressive 8.9 million visitors during the four-month online campaign.
