Title: World Hearing Day 2023
Description: From February 27 to March 3, 2023, various media outlets in Ondo state, including Adaba FM, Eki 100.9 FM, Crest FM, TVC, OSRC, Punch, and the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) online Radio/ TV, aired pre-event advertisements and news coverage for the World Hearing Day activities. Invitations were extended to various communities, including religious institutions, educational bodies, commercial bike riders, and market women through the distribution of informational fliers. A public awareness campaign took place on March 2, 2023, involving walks and various activities at locations such as shopping malls, intersections, entertainment stands, sawmills, restaurants, and administrative offices of UNIMED and its teaching hospital. The main event featured registration, lectures, otoscopy, audiological screenings, and hearing aid fittings. The activities extended throughout March, occurring every Monday and Friday. Beneficiaries of the hearing aids expressed their gratitude to UNIMED and their collaborators.
