Title: Realization Strategies for Our Common Goal in Ear and Hearing care
Description: In March 2023, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC) in Ifẹ, Nigeria participated in World Hearing Day by providing free ear and hearing care in their community. The team held various events to promote ear health awareness and to advocate for proper prevention and treatment measures. These included a 30-minute Q&A session on a well-known local radio station and the distribution of informative handbills about ear care and safe listening. On two separate days, the team offered free consultation sessions and audiological screenings, along with some free treatments. The events were attended by 256 people, both adults and children, and each session began with a health talk on achieving our common goals for ear and hearing care.
