Title: World Hearing Day 2023
Description: From late February to early March 2023, various events were organized by the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre place to acknowledge World Hearing Day, with the focus on this year’s theme, “’Ear and Hearing Care – Making it a Reality for All.” These events consisted of awareness campaigns conducted within the university campus as well as at a popular public beach and included the use of banners about hearing care and the distribution of informational brochures to a large number of people. Student participation played a significant role, with performances aimed at raising ear health awareness. Hearing tests were conducted at multiple locations, catering to a wide demographic. Out of the 202 people who underwent the screening, 46 were advised to seek further tests. The occasion was also marked by lectures from a renowned ENT specialist and an audiologist.
