Description: To mark World Hearing Day, second-year Phonoaudiology students from FCMSCSP conducted an outreach activity in the waiting rooms of the Ambulatório do Conde de Lara, a Unified Health System (SUS) hospital. The students, who were studying the “Development of Hearing Skills” course, spent a month preparing for this event. They engaged in theoretical classes and intensive study of World Health Organization guidelines on hearing health. This culminated in the students interacting with approximately 800 patients, discussing their auditory concerns, advising them on health improvements for hearing loss, and emphasizing the importance of regular medical check-ups.
