Title: WORLD HEARING DAY MONTH-EAR AND HEARING CARE FOR ALL
Description: Aster Clinic Al Khail commemorated World Hearing Day 2023 throughout an entire month, ending on March 3rd, 2023. The clinic carried out a variety of activities to educate people of all ages about proper ear care, using WHO resources as a guide. Approximately 3200 individuals were reached through these efforts, which included hearing screenings and promoting the usage of the WHO’s Hear WHO app for self-auditory assessments. Awareness was also raised through the distribution of educational leaflets, display of banners in the medical facility, and organization of health camps for hearing care learning and screening. The clinic also leveraged social media to share an educational video, and healthcare workers were educated to identify individuals at risk of hearing loss. Patient engagement was encouraged through quizzes and lucky draws, with prizes awarded throughout the month.
