In celebration of World Hearing Day, the EHC/PGPKT Sukabumi City Committee organized a number of broadcasted educational programs. Starting on March 3, 2023, the Hermina Hospital in Sukabumi City, West Java, Indonesia hosted an Instagram Live Talkshow focused on the topic of the impact of hearing loss on infants and children. The same day, Swara Perintis 93.1 FM radio station, also in Sukabumi City, hosted a talk show focusing on how to maintain one’s ear health. On March 13, 2023, the Bunut 107.7 FM Radio Talkshow discussed the topic of sudden deafness, raising awareness on the topic and providing crucial information regarding the time sensitivity of treatment. The next day, the same station broadcast a talk show on the topic of recurrent ear infections and related hearing loss. The Sukabumi Hermina Hospital then, on March 17, 2023, hosted a talk show on Kiwari 94.7 FM, focusing on the topic of hearing loss in the elderly. On April 11, 2023, Bunut 107.7 FM again partnered with the committee and hosted a show discussing the impact of noise exposure on hearing. Lastly, on April 14, 2023, the Swara Perintis 93.1 FM radio talk show discussed the topic of ‘Ringing in Ears’ for its listeners in the city, wrapping up the month-long series.
