Title: “Transforming sound to picture” and “Feel too”

Description:

A three-day event was held in Thessaloniki’s largest mall and divided into two interactive components. The first, “Transforming Sound to Picture,” aimed to demonstrate the interconnection of our senses, emphasizing the impact of hearing loss on overall sensory experiences. Participants were asked to select a sound, which was then visually represented by an artist in real-time, creating a tangible connection between hearing and sight. The second part, “Feel Too,” sought to raise awareness about the daily life implications and psychological effects of untreated hearing loss. Participants with normal hearing were given earplugs to simulate the experience of hearing loss for a day, and were later asked to share their experience through an online survey. This innovative approach revealed the profound impact of unaddressed hearing issues, advocating for timely treatment and support.
