Title: World Hearing Day – March 3, 2023
Description: On March 4, 2023, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, together with the Department of Audiology from the School of Rehabilitation and Behavioural Sciences at the Aarupadai Veedu Medical College (AVMC) Hospital, commemorated World Hearing Day. The theme was “Ear and Hearing Care for All! Let’s Make it Reality.” An associate professor from Tagore Medical College, delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of training primary healthcare professionals in ENT and audiology services, to benefit the wider community. The lecture also stressed the value of a team-based approach between audiologists and ENT specialists. Additionally, a hearing care camp was held on March 7, 2023, for senior citizens at Serene Pelican, Puducherry, which benefitted 129 older adults.
