Description: This project aimed to support and enhance a hearing conservation program for working adults in Valenzuela City, the industrial factory capital of the Philippines, who are exposed to industrial noise. The initiative, which started with Daichi Metal Products Corporation as a pilot during World Hearing Day 2023, intends to study the prevalence of industrial noise-induced hearing loss in the country. The program includes education, free hearing screening, and training about the dangers of industrial noise. Workers affected are given hearing protection devices like earplugs and earmuffs. Moreover, the project will consistently monitor the working environment to ascertain the effectiveness of the hearing conservation program.
