Objective:
To promote awareness of hearing loss, change societal mindsets about deafness, and empower individuals to prioritize ear and hearing care through targeted activities aligned with the theme “Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make Ear and Hearing Care a reality for all.”
Activities:
Conduct community seminar for civil society and policymakers to highlight hearing loss and its impact.
Organize a health camp offering free hearing screenings and counseling.
Distribute WHO-provided educational materials (translated into Bengali) to increase outreach and understanding.
Launch a social media campaign showcasing real-life stories of individuals overcoming hearing challenges.
Expected Outcomes:
– Enhanced community awareness about hearing loss prevention and management.
– Increased engagement from policymakers to support hearing care initiatives.
– Improved access to hearing services for underserved populations.
With the support of the WHD Small Grants Program, RBS aims to create sustainable impacts that resonate beyond the event date.
