Awareness Initiatives on Hearing Health:
Silent Fete: Organized in partner NGOs, schools, and communities where TMF operates, featuring performances by children with hearing impairments, Indian Sign Language workshops, free hearing tests, and ear care sessions. WHO awareness materials will be distributed.
Corporate Engagement: Tech Mahindra offices will host closed-caption movie screenings, interactive sessions on hearing health, and door-to-door campaigns promoting awareness. Informational pamphlets in local languages and referrals to government hospitals for screenings will be provided.
School Screenings: WHO’s screening tool will identify hearing loss in children across 100 Delhi MCD schools during the pilot phase. Awareness sessions for staff and students will accompany screenings. Successful implementation will scale the initiative to all 1,800 MCD schools, with findings shared with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
