Event Description:

The academic staff and students of the department are organizing a series of impactful events targeting different communities to empower and promote inclusive ear and hearing care. Academic staff will organize a seminar at the “Medicare International Healthcare Exhibition 2025 at BMICH, Colombo”, advocating hearing care services among the public and healthcare professionals. Further, there is an awareness session for school teachers in Ragama to enhance knowledge on hearing health and empower them to attend hearing health issues in themselves and students. A free community hearing screening program and counselling at the Ayati Audiology Clinic will offer for general public in Ragama throughout the day on 3rd March. Public awareness on hearing care will be heightened through a poster campaign and street drama session in Ragama city. Throughout the first week of March, A social media campaign will be launched targeting public, school communities, teenagers and professionals on hearing health.
