Event Description:
AYAN proposes to organize community engagement meetings with local leaders and law makers to raise public awareness about legislative issues, and mobilize grassroots support for policy changes aimed at improving hearing health outcomes.
It will organize 5 community meeting to engage residents and promote hearing health awareness. By fostering community connections and promoting dialogue about hearing health, these events will contribute to building supportive environments that prioritize auditory health and well-being. The meetings will bring together representatives of people living with hearing impairment, health staff, local councilors, members of parliament, religious and cultural leaders to dialogue on the gaps in legislation and make recommendations that will be delivered to the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda, local governments and the Ministry of health.
