Zacatecas Escucha Fuerte is a comprehensive project aimed at supporting children and teenagers with hearing disabilities and their families in Zacatecas, a state in Mexico. Our mission is to provide the resources to help them become independent adults, including Cochlear implants, and hearing aids, as well as financial education, emotional support, speech therapy, and sign language training. We also offer workshops to help families understand hearing disabilities and implement courses on child abuse prevention.
A key pillar of our initiative is ensuring that children continue their education, as academic progress is essential to their empowerment and long-term success.
We carefully select our beneficiaries, prioritizing families and support networks that demonstrate a strong commitment to their children’s well-being. Launched in 2024 with just three participants, we now support 46 children and have facilitated 11 cochlear implant surgeries. However, continued growth requires more support to expand our impact and reach more lives.
