Event Description:
Hear for the Future” is a primary school awareness campaign aimed at educating pupils and staff on the importance of ear and hearing care. The event will take place on World Hearing Day, March 3, 2025, at a selected primary school in Mbarara city southwestern Uganda.
The event will include an interactive presentation by a health expert, explaining the risks of hearing loss and how to protect hearing through practices like avoiding loud noises and safe ear cleaning. A hearing health screening station will be set up for voluntary checks.
Pupils will engage in designing posters with key hearing care messages, which will be displayed around the school. The event will also feature a testimonial session from a community member who has experienced hearing challenges.
Educational materials will be distributed, and pupils will be encouraged to share their learning with their families and peers.
