Event Description:
The Maluti Red Cross team of healthcare workers has been participating in awareness campaigns at the Sive Special School for children with hearing loss. Our team provides education and awareness on a range of healthcare topics to empower the learners to take responsibility for their own sexual reproductive health. This year, we would like to invite some of the learners to join the hearing able school learner kids clubs groups to teach them sign language in an effort to address stigma and discrimination that still exists among hearing abled people. The message is YES I CAN DO ANYTHING YOU CAN DO – I CAN EVEN DO IT BETTER! The funds will be used to transport the learners to the kids club venues where activities promoting integration and acceptance will take place.
