Event Description:
CBM plans to contribute to changing mindsets on ear and hearing care (EHC) and about persons living with hearing disability, through activities listed below, aimed at CBM personnel (point 1); in Cameroon (2); and global audiences (3).
1. Webinar on 25th February 2025 for CBM personnel at HQ in Germany and across the world, promoting WHD observation and sharing WHO materials.
2. Events in Yaoundé, Cameroon, 3-7 March 2025:
2.1 A three-day Training of Trainers workshop on Primary EHC, using CBM’s EHC module (based on WHO’s “Basic EHC Resource”), and WHO’s Primary EHC Training Manual, for PHC workers, with participation of MOH Cameroon.
2.2 A two-day high level strategic EHC planning meeting with MOH, supported by CBM partner CBC-HS and CBM CO Cameroon.
3. Awareness raising through CBM online platforms: WHD articles, videos and links to WHO resources at: cbm.org website, CBM News SharePoint site, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and X.
