Event Description:
From February 25th to March 3rd, the Cochlear Implant Association of Cantabria will celebrate Hearing Week, a campaign to raise awareness about hearing health and accessibility. The week kicks off on February 25th, International Cochlear Implant Day, and culminates on March 3rd, World Hearing Day.
Throughout the week, we will set up information booths at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, Santander’s City Hall Square, and the University, spreading awareness about hearing loss and cochlear implants. A highlight of the event will be an accessible theater performance, featuring sign language interpretation, magnetic loop systems, subtitles, and lip-reading support.
In addition, we will hold press conferences, media campaigns, informative talks, and fun activities for children. To commemorate these special days, city halls across the region will be illuminated in support of hearing awareness.
