Event Description:
On Second of March: My team and I will have a hour section on Obafemi Awolowo University FM Radio station for a call-in program: awareness on WHD, burden of ear problems, risky hearing health behaviors and preventive measures.
On third of March: Opening ceremony (8-9am) at Oduduwa Hall, OAU with the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Public Health, Vice Chancellor and His Deputies in attendance. We will discuss with facts and figures, the low level of awareness on the use of loud listening devices, present and future adverse effects on students and members of staff and preventive measures.
ENT Consultation and Hearing Screening will take place at the University Health Center by my team: Doctors, Nurses and Audiologists. Aural Syringing, wick dressing, foreign body removal, assessment and counseling on the audiometric findings and other procedures will be carried out free.
