Event Description:
As part of Work Hearing Day, we are setting up an information stand at the main entrance of Groote Schuur Hospital. At
this stand, we will share details about our innovative cochlear implant program with patients, staff, and visitors.
Additionally, we will demonstrate the hear.who app, showcasing how it empowers individuals to monitor their hearing
health. Our interactive display includes live demonstrations of the app’s features, such as the hearing screen test, along
with guidance on its effective use. This initiative aligns with this year’s theme of empowering people to take control of
their health and raising awareness of available services at our hospital. By engaging the community through hands-on
education, we aim to promote better hearing health and inform the public about the advanced resources and programs
offered at Groote Schuur Hospital.
