Event Description:
Announcements would be made at two major downtown areas in Accra about the planned world hearing day event (a two day event) to the less privileged two weeks prior the set dates. The selected downtown areas in Accra would also be the sites for the world hearing day event by the ENT Department of 37 Military Hospital.
The team of experts led by Dr Anita Ndaa Zumah(ENT Specialist) would give health talks to the people aimed at raising awareness about common causes of hearing loss , how to reduce the risks of hearing loss and understanding the early signs of hearing loss for early intervention.
Free ear screening would be done for all present. All cases that need further interventions would be referred to the ENT Department of 37 Military Hospital for further management.
