Project title: Rehabilitation Program for Children with Hearing Impairment

Primary region: WPR

Country: China

Event Description:

With the advancement of newborn hearing screening and hearing aid technology, children with hearing impairments can now be diagnosed early and fitted with appropriate hearing devices, allowing them to hear sounds again. Under the guidance of professional rehabilitation teachers, these children can develop various abilities such as language, speech, cognition, and communication based on their auditory capabilities, ultimately achieving comprehensive rehabilitation.
In this process, the collaboration between audiologists and rehabilitation teachers is of paramount importance. Only through effective cooperation can they promptly address the various challenges encountered in the rehabilitation and development of hearing-impaired children.
The Beijing Society of Audiology and Youting Hearing Rehabilitation Center jointly organized an Ear Care Day event. Experts from the BSA and senior audiologists from the center provided comprehensive support for hearing-impaired children through professional services, public welfare lectures, and expert consultations.
