More than 6 million people over the age of 60 are affected by hearing loss. Despite a huge number of modern treatment options, there is still a significant gap in hearing aid provision.
Therefore, we are excited to announce a new project funded by the G-BA. HearForFuture is a nationwide interdisciplinary study in Germany with the aim to analyze structural, procedural, and situational shortcomings in hearing aid provision and to develop solutions for a more effective hearing aid care pathway in Germany.
Taking into account the perspective of people with hearing loss, the Hearing Center of the Ruhr University of Bochum, St. Elisabeth hospital invites people affected to the Eli cafeteria on March 5rd between 4 and 5pm on the occasion of the International Day of Hearing to discuss improvement options in hearing aid provision in Germany with experts.
