Event Description:
CSNU will be celebrating World Hearing Day 2025 by raising awareness about hearing health, promoting early detection of hearing impairments, and enhance access to essential ear care services in the community. This event takes place in Sogeri, along the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea.
The event will bring together key stakeholders, including government representatives, health professionals, and community members, to advocate for inclusive healthcare.
The program includes a keynote address by Hon. Keith Iduhu, the official launch of the CSNU logo and website, cultural performances, and free ear screening and awareness provided by the CSNU audiology team. Trained healthcare staff will conduct ear examinations, offering guidance on ear care, prevention, and available support services. The screening aims to identify individuals at risk of hearing loss and connect them with appropriate follow-up care. Educational sessions will emphasize ear health, safe listening practices, and the impact of untreated hearing loss.
