We plan to introduce the hardcover edition of our children’s adventure book, HearO Saves the Day! An Adventure in Music, Health, and Hearing Protection by Adele Sandberg and Sherilyn M. Adler, Ph.D. In keeping with our belief that hearing safety needs to be taught beginning in infancy like other safety behaviors, this book will serve as a resource to equip parents, educators, librarians, musicians, and other healthcare professionals with the four ways to protect hearing and to teach children how to practice hearing safety. We will share information about (1) Noise-induced hearing loss (NIH) and its prevention and (2) HearO Saves the Day! on our website, on social media and will launch donor and sponsorship campaigns enabling us to provide books to schools, libraries, and underserved communities.
