Title: Hearing Health & Cochlear Implant Awareness
Description: All cochlear implant patients in Tanzania were invited to a session in a large hall, where we held informative talks by the departments of speech pathology, audiology, and ENT, followed by a speech by senior administration. Media was present, and following the talks, a discussion was held with patients and parents as we discussed their journeys, their progress, their challenges, and their advice to other prospective patients and to the general public. Three stations were set up for attendees to cycle through – audiology, speech, and ENT. A cake was cut to celebrate WHD.
