The consultant community physician from Puttalam District delivered an advocacy presentation about the importance of screening the population for ear and hearing problems. As a resource, a PowerPoint presentation (WHO 2023 primary ear and hearing care manual was adopted for the presentation) was used and local data of hearing defects are discussed. The medical officer of ENT General Hospital Chilaw led a workshop on assessing hearing disorders and ear abnormalities at the primary care level.
