Description: Report on the Ear Screening at Chilenje B school in Lusaka Zambia by Dori Primary Community Ear Care Services.
Information about the 3rd March as WHD was given a at medical center, under five clinics to parents and staff. 3rd week went to visit officials at Chilenje B Inclusive School to sensitise and request to use premises for screening.
128 school children and 7 adults screened in total.
10 refered to hospitals, 2 with pain on and off, 5 reduced hearing, 1 old perforation, 1 swellings below ears. 1 elderly with lost hearing after malaria, right ear has reduced hearing. 9 compacted wax which was syringed after a week.
We were appreciated by teachers, WHD team in Zambia eg Dr Racheal Hapunda.
The challenge was the exercise was “entirely voluntary.”
Dori services appreciates the registration by WHO, seeks to be recognized with any form of assistance to execute programmes deligently.
