Title: World Hearing Day 2023
Description: Maa Institute of speech and hearing envisions to create exceptional speech and hearing professionals through constant clinical training, research and education aimed at providing better services for communication disorders prevailing in the society. By MISH, One week camp was scheduled to carry out free audiological screening at various areas scattered across the country. Additionally, a mobile screening was also performed to reach out the remote and rural population who barely have access to health care and to raise awareness about hearing loss and preventive measures. Approximately one thousand individuals were screened on the occasion of World Hearing Day 2023. Apart from this, 10 Hearing Aids were distributed free of cost to the underprivileged who could not afford to buy one. Social media campaigns about hearing loss, prevention and management were conducted in order to raise awareness and knowledge among the society.
