Organization: Gibraltar Hearing Issues & Tinnitus Association

Region: British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar

Title: Gibraltar Hearingloss Week and World Hearing Day 2023

Description:

The week started having the territory’s famous landmark The Moorish Castle illuminated in the evening in Silver and Gold. During the week we had daily awareness posts in social media. GHITA Chairperson attended a Radio Gibraltar interview too. Unfortunately a Hearingloss Talk to the general public and an awareness talk to St Pauls Primary School had to be held later in the month and not during Gibraltar Hearingloss Week events as planned. Nonetheless they proved very successful with excellent feedback.

During World Hearing Day 2023 GHITA held an information stand. The Gibraltar Government sent the Minister of Equality Samantha Sacramento to support our event and the day. GHITA held our Flag Day on World Hearing Day too.

Our World Hearing Day event and message was covered in the press and national tv too.
