Recognizing World Hearing Day as a United Nations International Day

  • World Hearing Day is observed every year on 3 March by WHO and hundreds of partners around the world.
  • The worldwide celebration seeks to raise awareness of hearing loss and promote ear and hearing care.
  • The World Hearing Forum has launched an initiative to elevate World Hearing Day to an official International Day in the United Nations calendar
  • Formal UN recognition would strengthen global visibility and support sustained action on hearing health priority.
