Description: FKND Foundation held an event dubbed “Free School and Community Ear Screening” Focused on ear and hearing assessment, awareness raising and education, a total of 1,185 people were screened. Comprised of 419 males and 766 females. Further breakdown indicates 986 students, 95 teachers and 104 community members in four government basic schools in Akropong and Atwima Koforidua. Ghanaian Times newspaper, Hello FM, Peace FM and United Television (UTV) covered the event. Out of the total number of people screened, 1,050 (88.61%) had hearing within the normal range and 135 (11.40%) had hearing loss.
