Title: Awareness for Antenatal mother’s and parents of newborn in Rural Area and ENT screening in rural school children.
Description: The Dept of ENT had organized an awareness program for ANC & PNC mothers, parents of newborn in hospital were maximum visitors are from rural population. Introduction on world hearing day with theme of 2023 was delivered by Dr Sanika Kalambe Ghate Consultant ENT. Obstetrician guided on ANC care, Paediatrician gave talk on milestones&signs for which parents should look for, to identify deafness. Dr Prasanna Moon & Dr Swati Maldhure Consultant ENT surgeon talked on screening protocols, test battery, early identification intervention, schemes available in hospital. Dept of ENT had organised a free OAE screening camp for child born in hospital. We also held Hearing screening camp for school going children of rural area in our institute on same day. We also had organized speciality camp for geriatric age group in community of WADI UHTC and Koradi RHTC of our hospital with free Pure tone audiometry for reduced hearing patients.
