Title: IEA World Hearing Day Celebrations 2023, Mwingi North Subcounty
Description: On March 3, 2023, in observance of World Hearing Day, Impact East Africa partnered with Aepc Kyeni Kya Gai Primary School, Ndathani Primary School, and Tei Wa Yesu Health Center. The collaboration highlighted the importance of the theme of this year’s event, “Ear and Hearing Care for All”. The group carried out advocacy using placards and posters and held a public march to raise awareness. They also provided free education on ear care, screening, and treatment for ear infections in local communities. Any patients requiring specific care were referred to Impact East Africa’s free ear surgical camp. This year’s events were part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to promoting ear health and preventing hearing loss.
