Title: Hunan Province National Ear Day Promotion Events
Description: On March 3, 2023, our team at Xiangya Hospital Central South University of Changsha, China organized several events to promote ear and hearing health in honor of National Ear Day and World Hearing Day. The first event was in collaboration with the Hunan Provincial Health Commission, Hunan Disabled Persons’ Federation, and others at the Hunan Education Television Station. The initiative, viewed online by over 400,000 people, featured a scientific lecture by the director of otolaryngology at Xiangya Hospital who emphasized the importance of lifelong ear health management, with a special focus on the hearing health of seniors and the risks associated with hearing loss.
The second educational activity was conducted by our medical staff at Hongyuan Kindergarten. This event focused on ear health, providing information on the ear’s basic structure, causes and remedies for ear pain, and an ear endoscopy for children. This event aimed to enhance the understanding of hearing health among children and their families, implementing the principle of lifelong hearing health.
