Different approaches are used to identify auditory pathology and also to detect groups that are most vulnerable and have priority needs, and that is where most resources are allocated. Risk factors that affect an individual, community, or group indicate the likelihood of suffering some hearing deficit. The goal, as far as possible, is to minimize these risk factors and thus reduce the impact of the hearing deficit or damage. Scientific literature has paid little attention to the study of noise derived from leisure activities. Surprisingly, these activities can exceed the noise levels of some workplaces considered noisy, such as social noise, in factories, discos, devices with or without headphones, etc. These can be a significant risk factor contributing to noise-induced hearing damage. It is suggested to run a prevention campaign against noise exposure in these places to avoid acoustic trauma in young people.
