Description: The EHC/PGPKT Langkat District Committee in North Sumatra, Indonesia led in World Hearing Day celebrations with an event that took place on February 25, 2023, in Pangkalan Brandan, Sei Lepan District, Langkat, North Sumatra. The initiative involved ear examinations with endoscopy, ear screening and cleaning, and audiometry examinations. This collaborative effort with the Mahkota Bidadari Hospital in Langkat was a success, resulting in cerumen extraction in 75 individuals and the removal of foreign bodies in 2 people.
The committee organized a separate event at Cermin Beach, Langkat District on March 18, 2023. They partnered with Miftahul Jannah Islamic Boarding School for this initiative. The activities involved included endoscopic ear examinations, counseling, ear screening and cleaning, and audiometric examinations. Out of the attendees, which included 80 students, their guardians, and community members, 40 individuals underwent cerumen extraction.
