Title: World Hearing Day 2023 “Ear and Hear Care for All! Let’s Make it a Reality”
Description: The Eye hEAR Foundation hosted a range of activities nationwide in celebration of World Hearing Day 2023 and its theme of “Ear and hearing care for all! Let’s make it a reality.” The program provided training to 41 health workers and reached out to 315 individuals for screening. Of these, 262 had normal ear and hearing results, 33 had impacted cerumen, 4 suffered from otitis media, 16 had a perforated eardrum, and 3 were fitted with hearing aids. The foundation also partnered with a private organization and local government in order to ensure the sustainability and accessibility of their program.
