Description: HearMi Ghana initiated a campaign on social media, local radio, and Avenor TV of Akatsi, Ghana to emphasize the importance of ear and hearing health. This included a visit to St. Theresa Vocational Training Center in Abor, Ghana, where students and staff had their hearing tested. On March 3, 2023, the team, led by the group’s founder, conducted otoscopy and audiology screenings for staff at Volta Star Textiles Limited in Juapong, Ghana. They also provided education on the use of ear muffs and plugs to protect hearing in noisy environments. The company’s acting managing director expressed gratitude for the initiative. HearMi Ghana also urged the government to include ear and hearing health in the National Health Insurance Scheme.
