Title: CAMPAÑA ESCUCHA TALCA, JUNTOS POR LA AUDICIÓN

Description:

Thanks to the alliance between the Elige Oír Foundation and the Municipality of Talca, along with the School of Medicine and Speech Therapy of the University of Talca, a hearing evaluation was conducted for the community of Talca in Chile. This included ear and hearing care guidance, otoscopy, and specific recommendations by specialists. The Autonomous University and Santo Tomás also participated, serving nearly 300 people of all age groups. This initiative marked the beginning of an update and support program for primary care doctors by specialists from the Elige Oír Foundation, which will run throughout 2023. The goal is to reach professionals from the APS network (11 centers) to address about 60% of the population’s needs in this area and help decongest higher complexity centers.
