Title: World Hearing Day Conference
Description: Hearing screenings are crucial in identifying potential hearing loss in children, which may be missed at birth or develop later. In March 2021, we conducted a community hearing screening for 52 individuals and revisited the same community this year for a follow-up and to discuss hearing health and hearing aids. In our 2023 visit, we provided hearing care information to 9 individuals from the 2021 screening and 7 new people. We found that enhancing adherence to hearing care requires further investment and information dissemination through awareness campaigns, specifically targeting the Capverdean community.
