Description: The MAA Institute of Speech and Hearing (MISH) is dedicated to training exceptional professionals in speech and hearing through continuous clinical learning, research, and education. This is aimed at improving services for communication disorders in our society. The institute organized a week-long camp to conduct free audiological screening across various parts of the country, including remote and rural areas, and screened about a thousand individuals on World Hearing Day 2023. This included a mobile screening initiative, designed to reach populations with limited healthcare access and educate them about hearing loss prevention. MISH also distributed 10 hearing aids free of cost to underprivileged individuals and conducted social media campaigns on hearing loss prevention and management to raise public awareness.
