Title: Ear and Hearing Care for All
Description: The Pratibandhi Kalyan Kendra organization celebrated World Hearing Day 2023 with a range of activities from January to March. They engaged approximately 800 people through local events, health camps, and a 16-day awareness campaign that included poster exhibitions, leaflet distribution, and basic audiological screenings. They also provided training for 42 teachers at two secondary schools and held three training sessions for grassroots health professionals, attended by 45 doctors, 189 frontline health workers, and various local government representatives. These sessions focused on integrating hearing care within primary healthcare. Additionally, they conducted screenings and diagnostic assessments for 300 children, adolescents, and elderly individuals at the clinic. In partnership with SONOVA, they supplied free hearing aids to six impoverished children. Finally, a seminar was held on March 3, 2023 that was attended by 50 audiologists, ENT doctors, special educators, parents of deaf children, and other community members.
