Title: National program for early detection and care of hearing loss
Description: From March 3, International Hearing Health Day, to March 28, National Hearing Health Day, various activities were undertaken across different regions. In NOA, which includes Santiago del Estero, Salta, Catamarca, Jujuy, La Rioja, and Tucumán, free hearing screenings were conducted in maternity hospitals and health centers. Meanwhile, in NEA’s regions such as Entre Ríos, Misiones, Chaco, and Formosa, all health personnel in hospitals underwent hearing checks without need for prior appointments. In CUYO, which covers San Luis, San Juan, and Mendoza, the focus was on promoting hearing health and prevention in Primary Health Care. In the CENTRO area, including Córdoba, Santa Fé, Buenos Aires, and CABA, audiometric control was carried out for adolescents aged 13-16, with an emphasis on hearing health awareness and prevention. Lastly, PATAGONIA (Rio Negro, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Neuquén, and Chubut) concentrated on disseminating information via WHO material networks, including videos featuring testimonies from children with implants.
