Title: Ear and hearing care for all in Montréal

Description:

The University of Montreal’s School of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology held a local event that involved hearing screenings and awareness activities at various educational institutions, led by second-year audiology master’s students. Around 500 people took part in the event. To further raise awareness, video capsules were developed for music students, which were broadcast throughout March via the teaching platform and panels at the music faculty. As part of the World Hearing Day 2023 campaign, audiology students participated in an Outreach Wikipedia Edit-a-thon and, in collaboration with local bodies, circulated social media materials to alert governments, organizations, professionals, and the general public about hearing health.
